Groups

Groups are ways to organize the Hives you manage. Creating groups will allow HealthHive to distribute Surveys, Care Plans, Broadcasts and more. The two kind of groups you can have are Manual and Dynamic groups.

Manual Groups - allow you to add and remove Hives from groups manually. An example would be adding Mary's Hive added to your West Wing Residents group.

Dynamic Groups - allow you to tell the system what Hives you would like added to a group based on information within a Hive. An example would be automatically adding any Hives with a fall risk into a Safety First Patient Group

Making Manual Groups

1. Open Create Group

   • Click Create Group to launch the modal.

2. Choose Group Type

   • Select Manual Add as the type of group to create.

3. Name the Group

   • Enter a Group Name (required, up to 128 characters).

   • Optionally add a Description (up to 512 characters) to clarify the purpose of the group.

4. Set Location(s)

   • Choose the applicable Location from the dropdown (default is All facilities).

5. Add Hives to the Group

   • Click Select Hives.

   • Manually choose the specific Hives you want included in this group.

6. Submit

   • Click Submit to create the manual group.
     
     The group will contain only the Hives you explicitly selected.

Making Dynamic Groups

1. Open Create Group

   • Click Create Group to launch the modal.

2. Choose Group Type

   • Select Dynamic Add as the type of group to create.

3. Name the Group

   • Enter a Group Name (required, up to 128 characters).

   • Optionally add a Description explaining the criteria or use case.

4. Set Location(s)

   • Choose the applicable Location from the dropdown (default is All facilities).

5. Define Group Conditions

   • Select which patients should be included based on conditions:

     • Choose All Patients, or

     • Select one or more condition-based filters such as: Depression, Alzheimer’s/Dementia, Hypertension, Diabetes, CHF, Chronic Kidney Disease, Obesity, Priority, Within Admission Window, Within Discharge Window

   • Click Add Additional Conditions to further refine the group logic.

6. Estimate Group Size (Optional)

   • Click Calculate to estimate how many Hives will be automatically included based on your selected conditions.

7. Submit

   • Click Submit to create the dynamic group.

   • The group will automatically update over time as Hives meet or no longer meet the defined conditions.
